Cancellation Anniversary of Issues, Etc.

Approximately one year ago on Tuesday of Holy Week, the liberal leaders of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) cancelled a strong gospel outreach radio program called Issues, Etc.™  However, three months later by the grace of God, the show returned stronger, independent, and better than ever.

Last week, in recognition of the termination that set the show free, the blog Stand Firm celebrated a week long “Canniversary” (cancellation anniversary).  Here are some links to a few of the “Canniversary” posts:

God brings good blessings out of our evil, and God used the Holy Week cancellation of Issues, Etc. for good.  (Romans 8:28).  One benefit of the attacks against Issues, Etc. has been that those attacks have mobilized Confessional Lutherans in new ways.  New blogs sprung up, the Brothers of John the Steadfast was organized, and many conservative Lutherans began to realize that only God is truly trustworthy.
